- What is the ROHS Directive 2011/65/EU (as amended by 2015/863)?
Any product considered an electrical or electronic equipment (EEE), as defined in the ROHS Directive 2011/65/EU
(as amended by 2015/863), must not contain more than the maximum permitted concentrations of the ten substances below within the homogenous materials of the products.

3. Cadmium (Cd) 0.01%
4. Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) 0.10%
5. Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) 0.10%

8. Butyl benzyl phthalate (BBP) 0.10%

- When is the ROHS Directive 2011/65/EU (as amended by 2015/863) eff ective from?
From the 22nd July 2019.
- Which Eaton’s Bussmann series fuses are affected by ROHS Directive 2011/65/EU?
Eaton’s Bussmann series fuses designed specifically for the US market (UL approved fuses), which contain at least
one of the ten substances above the maximum permitted concentrations, are affected and cannot be sold anymore in the European Community, EEA countries and several other countries.
- Are the affected Eaton’s Bussmann series fuses still available for sale in and for the US market?
Yes as the ROHS directive is a European directive it doesn’t affect Eaton’s Bussmann series UL fuses sold in and for the US market. The labels on these specific fuses will be printed without CE marking.
